Meet Our Orthopedic Doctors & Staff
Trinity Orthopedics is a group of orthopedic doctors in Fort Worth with a simple mission: to provide care and education and comfort for our patients in an environment where they can truly feel Christ’s love and power. When patients come to us, we want them to know that they are in hands that are not only capable but gentle as well.
Orthopedic & Spine Specialist
Dr. Larry M. Kjeldgaard is the founder and owner of Trinity Orthopedics. He is often referred to as “The Bone Doctor” because he specializes in the treatment of the spine and back. Utilizing minimally invasive techniques, he is especially proficient in both simple and complex spinal surgeries.
Dr. Kjeldgaard is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, but he prefers a more conservative approach to treatment that may involve no surgery at all. Dr. Kjeldgaard graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at the Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, PA, as well as the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Training in Pontiac, Michigan. Dr. Kjeldgaard is a member of American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, The American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and Texas Osteopathic Medical Association.
Dr. Nicholas Iagulli is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in both sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. Because his primary interests lie in sports medicines as well as the injuries and conditions related to it, he strives to stay up to date on the newest techniques in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, elbow, hip, ankle, and wrist.
Dr. Iagulli is the team physician at Fort Worth Christian High school and performs surgeries at several nearby hospitals. Dr. Iagulli graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his residency in the Orthopedic Surgery department of the University of Toledo’s Medical Center. Later on, Dr. Iagulli completed his fellowship at Mississippi Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery.
Dr. Scott Gibson obtained his medical degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Gibson then completed his orthopedic surgery residency through Oklahoma State University at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. He continued his training by completing a Shoulder & Elbow fellowship at the prestigious CORE Institute in Phoenix, AZ.
Dr. Gibson has a special interest in treating complex shoulder problems and can perform advanced procedures including total shoulder replacements, reverse shoulder replacements, rotator cuff and labral repairs. Additionally, he has extensive experience caring for sports medicine injuries, orthopedic and pediatric trauma, along with knee and hip injuries. As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Gibson takes a holistic approach to musculoskeletal care combining advanced non-surgical and surgical techniques.
Richard L. Smith is a graduate of the Baylor College of Medicine’s Physician Assistant program. Richard has over 5 years of experience in neurosurgical and orthopedic medicine and uses it to assist Dr. Kjeldgaard in both the clinic and the operating room during surgery.
Mr. Smith prides himself on his familiarity with every aspect of orthopedic medicine, especially procedures relating to spine care.
